NCW Egypt Appreciate President Sisi for Continued Gender Support

The Head of the National Council for Women in Egypt, Maya Morsi, has appreciated President Abdel Fattah El Sisi for the role he plays towards the continued support of women in the country.

Morsi expressed her thanks as she addressed the audience at the inauguration of the 8th ministerial conference of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) on women at Masa Conference Hall in the New Administrative Capital.

According to her, President Sisi is keen on supporting and defending Egyptian women out of his belief that women empowerment is a national duty, as she mentioned the great accomplishments achieved for women during his rule.

Morsi noted that Sisi broke all barriers by appointing women to leadership positions in the country and enacting many legislations that guaranteed their rights and social protection. She pointed out also that Egypt has become a symbol of achieving stability, development, and cooperation through good governance.

In her remarks, Morsi referred to the Ministerial Council of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation on Women’s thanks to President Sisi for his care and personal interest in the organization, as he provides directives to enable it to fulfil its potential.
