Being home to the second-largest proven oil reserves and the largest youth population in Africa has not exempted Nigeria from youth unemployment, as the country is still grappling with acute unemployment in the formal and informal labour markets.
Although this is a global concern, developing countries seem to be facing more of this problem than those in the rich world. Economic development relies on the creation of more productive jobs for an ever-rising share of the workforce. The company recently appointed Rolake Rosiji who has with a decade of global experience in strategic leadership and operational excellence as CEO with a focus “to broaden the impact beyond the white-collar space and continue to work closely with Jobberman’s impact partners in tackling youth unemployment in Nigeria.”
Rolake recently took on her role as CEO, replacing the company’s former CEO Hilda Kragha, now Managing Director of ROAM Africa Jobs to continue the work of establishing Jobberman as the primary platform for job searching, talent acquisition and transforming workplace productivity across Nigeria.
