Google.org has announced the 34 funding recipients of the Google.org Impact Challenge for Women and Girls. The $25-million global philanthropy challenge was launched in March 2021 and called for gender equity-focused organisations to submit their ideas to create a more equitable economic reality for women and girls.

Illumigyn, the world’s first remote gynaecological imaging platform, announced that following the closure of its latest investment round it has raised $33 million to date. The current investment round includes the Yozma Group Korea and Ubicom Holdings Japan.
Amanda Blanc, chief executive of British insurer Aviva and chair of a climate action group, has said more women should be at the top of multilateral organisations to help alleviate the financial impact of climate change.
Ms. Caroline Abel was first appointed Governor of the Central Bank of Seychelles (CBS) on 14th March 2012, becoming the first woman in Seychelles to hold the position. She was re-appointed to serve a second six-year term in March 2018. She is also Chairperson of the CBS Board.
