Samira Assabahi is a Yemeni Widow, who has devoted her life to the humanitarian service of helping widows.
Assabahi got married after graduating from high school in 1996; she lost her husband one month later. Suddenly finding herself a widow, she decided to continue her education. Assabahi enrolled to study Law at the University of Sana’a, where she received her degree in 2002. On completion of her studies, she went on to obtain a diploma from the Program of Qualifying Young Female Leaders
Sometimes, talking to children may seem like a herculean task, you could find yourself at a family dinner surrounded by your little nieces and nephews, and you do not know how to start a conversation, or you may start up a conversation and you get the monosyllabic words everyone dreads, and you spend the entire evening, staring awkwardly at each other and waiting for the dinner to end. Born to average parents and from humble beginnings, fifty-two year old Lordina Mahama, First Lady of the Republic of Ghana, today straddles many worlds – impacting her communities and giving hope to countless Ghanaians. Lordina who hails from Jema-Ampoma in the Nkoranza District of the Brong Ahafo Region of Ghana was born on 6th March 1963 to Mr. and Mrs. Effah of blessed memory. The last of three children, she had her early education in Tamale at the Tishigu Anglican primary school.
