Israel to Soon Get Its First Female F-35 Pilot
Twenty years after the first woman took to the skies as Israel’s first combat pilot, Israel’s Air Force will soon have its first female F-35 pilot, sources have told The Jerusalem Post.
She will reportedly fly in the 116th squadron, nicknamed “Lions of the South,” based out of Nevatim in southern Israel.

Melania Trump to Celebrate 100th Anniversary of Women’s Right to Vote
First lady Melania Trump on Monday announced she would be launching an artwork-focused project for children to celebrate the 100th anniversary of women’s right to vote.
The 19th Amendment, which granted women the right to vote, was adopted on August 18, 1920.
The “Building the Movement: America’s Youth Celebrate 100 Years of Women’s Suffrage” initiative will solicit drawings from children between grades 3 and 12 depicting imagery related to the suffrage movement and culminate in a White House art exhibit opening later this summer, according to a news release.
Afghanistan Women in Military Grows by 16 per cent
Presence of female security forces in Afghanistan military has increased by 16 percent, according to the Special Inspector for Afghanistan Reconstruction.
SIGAR said in a statement on Sunday that the total number of the female security personnel would surpass 5,260 by January 26th.
Egypt Parliament Allocates 25% of Seats to Women
The Egyptian Parliament has approved an amendment to an article in the constitution to allocate 25 percent of seats to women, a local daily, Egypttoday reported.
The approved articles also included the expanding of the two presidential terms allowed for any president.
