7 Things Every Woman Must Do Before Going to Bed
After a long day, the last thing you want to do is go through a long, drawn-out skin care routine. Fortunately, there aren’t too many things you really need to do keep your skin healthy, and using a bunch of serums, creams and fancy products doesn’t have to be part of your routine. However, there are seven things that you must do before bed to keep your skin looking its best. Make sure you set aside a few minutes to take care of those teeth, too. Remove Your Make-Up Going to sleep with cosmetics like foundation, mineral powder and blush can clog your pores and result in pimples and skin irritation. Sleeping with your makeup on can also make your skin very dry, and if you already have dry skin, your skin could start to look scaly or flaky. Use a quality makeup remover to take your makeup off every…
A Scrumptious Journey through Tunisia
Tunisian cuisine is a blend of Mediterranean and desert dwellers’ culinary traditions. Its distinctive spicy fieriness comes from the many civilizations which have ruled the land now known as Tunisia. Many of the cooking styles and utensils began to take shape when the ancient tribes were nomads. Nomadic people were limited in their cooking implements by what pots and pans they could carry with them. A tagine in Tunisia is very different from the Moroccan dish. It is a type of a pie dish, made out of eggs, meat and vegetables, similar to the Italian frittata or the eggah. Pork is not traditionally used since its consumption is forbidden in the Sharia, the religious laws of Islam.
10 Remedies for Kidney Infection Treatment
By: Leigh Erin Connealy, M.D. If you’re like most of my patients, kidneys aren’t much of a concern – until something goes wrong. But these hard-working little organs deserve better! The kidneys are responsible for so many important functions, including filtering toxins from your blood. Here’s a remarkable fact: Every 30 minutes, all the blood in your body travels through the kidneys. Every single day – thanks to your kidneys – more than two quarts of waste are cleared from your bloodstream and removed from the body as urine. Without this vital kidney function, waste would accumulate and serious damage to the organs throughout your body would occur. The kidney also oversee distribution of important minerals, regulates the body’s acid-alkaline balance to keep you from becoming too acidic, manages the body’s fluid levels, releases three essential hormones involved in blood pressure, bone building, and maintaining healthy red blood cells, among…

This is the story of the African woman. Living Healthy with Osteoporosis- Layla Audi’s Story
Osteoporosis, which literally means porous bone, is a disease in which the density and quality of bone are reduced. As bones become more porous and fragile, the risk of fracture is greatly increased. The loss of bone occurs silently and progressively. Often there are no symptoms until the first fracture occurs. As we age some of our bone cells begin to dissolve bone matrix (resorption), while new bone cells deposit osteoid (formation). This process is known as remodeling. For people with osteoporosis, bone loss outpaces the growth of new bone. Bones become porous, brittle and prone to fracture. Around the world, 1 in 3 women and 1 in 5 men are at risk of an osteoporotic fracture. In fact, an osteoporotic fracture is estimated to occur every 3 seconds. The most common fractures associated with osteoporosis occur at the hip, spine and wrist. The likelihood of these fractures occurring, particularly…
